My Experience in Montevideo
A couple of months ago, I had an unexpected opportunity that took me to Montevideo, Uruguay. One day a girl from a social network followed me (I have a page on the Internet where I upload a few videos, mostly Korean pop dances), and then she asked if I would like to dance with her group, due to the fact that they were preparing for an important contest in Montevideo City. At first, I was not sure what to expect, but I could not resist the chance to be part of something exciting, and as soon my parents supported the idea, I was taking a bus to the capital.
I ended up traveling to Montevideo four times, even though things did not go as planned. Actually, we never actually got to compete; we only managed to have rehearsals, and not as many as we planned. Participation in the competition was canceled due to various setbacks with most of the members’ groups. Despite bad times and disappointment, the experience was totally worth it. Learning complex choreography was challenging but fun; I learned so much from working with the group, not only about dance but also about teamwork, passion, and dedication. Planning the outfits together also added to the excitement.
In the end, I realized the competition wasn’t the important thing, it was the journey and the new friendships that I made there thanks to my biggest passion. Personally speaking, I am still grateful for the invitation. Without a doubt, it opened bigger and more varied opportunities in a world full of creativity and art.

Sometimes she spends her days designing and creating her own clothes. When she feels inspired, she likes drawing and painting landscapes and people.
