Stories: The Seeds of Community

Stories play an imperative role in every community. From folk tales to modern classics, we see stories everyday. We see stories everywhere, but we often ignore them and do not want to know more about them.

Everything has a story, from a smile on the face of an old lady to the history behind a big monument. Every action, thought, and habit has a story behind it. Knowing that story helps you change and become a better person at heart. Therefore, stories play a great role in shaping young minds and igniting new ideas.

A community filled with stories, love, and respect helps start a prospering society. As Garrison Kieler rightly said, “When you are old, you will realize that there are no answers, only stories and experiences.”

This simply symbolizes that stories change thoughts, give advice, and help people have fun. To me, stories are like the seeds of fruits. When you dig deep into ideas, you find the core of people. At first, you judge people for their appearance unknowingly, but when you get to know people better, you connect better and learn so much more, not only about the opposite person, but also about yourself.

Some seeds, like those on strawberries, are on the outside, which will help you know the story of that person easily, and the person will be open. Other seeds are concealed, like in the mango. The seed is deep and covered by pulp. The person’s story might be sad and hidden. In this case, to learn the story behind the juiciness of the mango, you need to dry the fruit and help the person shed inhibitions. Not all stories are nice.

Few stories of people are like the seeds of the watermelon. The person will be experienced and happy, but has hidden all its thoughts in the pulp of the fruit. The link is missing, which is important to find. Such loopholes in communities affect lives, prevent change, and discourage unity.

The seeds in oranges are easy to find; few people are like them. They have their life all figured out and are lively and fun to listen to.

Seeds grow into trees, but only when you nourish them and give them the right atmosphere to grow with a fearless mindset. When seeds don’t have the right environment to grow, they die.

The stories of people shape you and change you. That’s why they are such an important part of today’s community.
