Mother Nature’s Cry
The wind wistfully whisks through the trees
Sounds of leaves crunching under your feet
What if we’ve mistaken the sounds of the breeze
How about the blazing heat
The water is higher when it meets the shore
Drizzling of rain against the glass
Soon this can’t be something we can ignore
It’s too late for this to pass
The vast sky fills with large gray clouds
Roaring of thunder in the sky
What if we’re mistaken, these aren’t just sounds
What if this is mother nature’s cry
The desert tornadoes spread dust across the land
Polar bears desperately search for ice
It’s easy to misinterpret, but not hard to understand
Earth isn’t oil, it doesn’t have a price
So again, why is it so hard for us to see
We’re the source of the blazing heat
The unusual temperature of the sea
It’s all too much to repeat
The earth has given us countless signs to untangle
So why do we tighten the knot
These aren’t just sounds, this is mother nature’s cry
