The Voices of My Teachers
Lulu RasorSeptember 25, 2013
Gun shot echoing off the walls
A beam of lazy sunlight
A rust-red squeaky door
A slowly winding river
Teeth grinding rocks
The deep scratch of chairs
Moving stones with your tongue
Mint fluoride gargle in your throat
Pine needles in a sock
A weathered summer shirt
The drone of a fridge
The timid chirping of birds
A crow’s restless caw caw
A murmuring streambed hiding
A razor tipped rock
The sharp clip clop of high heels on bricks
A teacher’s soothing voice broken by china
